The Border Church / La Iglesia Fronteriza is a nonsectarian Christian ministry

centered in the celebration of open-table communion on the U.S.-Mexico border.

To bring people together from both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border in recognition and celebration of the unity we share through Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:28).

Since November, 2011, people from both the United States and Mexico have gathered each Sunday afternoon to share communion at Friendship Park, the historic border meeting place at the western edge of the border, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  This Sunday gathering is also known as "EL FARO" because on the Mexican side of the wall people gather in the shadow of Tijuana's landmark lighthouse, a reminder that God's grace shines indiscriminately on all.

Beginning in 2019, the Border Church team in Mexico has begun to build out a multi-dimensional program of "asistencia integral" for migrants (A.I.M.) and deportees (A.I.D.) in the Tijuana neighborhood of EL CHAPARRAL. The office is easily accessible by foot from the "PedWest" pedestrian crossing at the San Ysidro Port of Entry.
